L. Stephen was admitted to the California Bar in 1983 and the West Virginia Bar in 1984.  Mr. Albright is admitted to practice in several United States District Courts and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal.  Mr. Albright’s practice consists primarily of business transactions and general corporate matters, including the representation of several public companies.  Mr. Albright has negotiated and closed in excess of $500 million in business transactions representing the owners and sellers of private and public companies, through merger and acquisition agreements, stock purchase agreements and asset purchase agreements.  While Mr. Albright focuses on his corporate, business and securities practice, his litigation experience includes both employment and business matters.

Mr. Albright began his career with a Century City (Los Angeles), California boutique law firm which specialized on business transactions.  That experience led him to become the Vice President and General Counsel of a public company known as Color Systems Technology, Inc. (“CST”).  While at CST, Mr. Albright was solely responsible for the company’s annual shareholder's meetings, preparation of annual reports to shareholders, proxy materials,  preparing and filing CST’s compliance documents with the SEC (Forms, 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, etc), listing applications with the stock exchanges; engaging and working with outside counsel, and sole responsibility for negotiating, drafting and closing hundreds of contracts and finance agreements., including almost a significant number of workout agreements and either sole or primary responsibility for all the company’s  litigation.   Mr. Albright was the sole or lead attorney in over 100 state and federal actions ranging from contract disputes to copyright matters.  In addition, Mr. Albright defended dozens of matters before the California Labor Commission and defended one of the first WARN Act claims filed in Federal Court.

Mr. Albright returned to private practice in 1994.  After several years with a medium sized firm in Los Angeles, in 2000, Mr. Albright started The Albright Firm.  Current clients include: Enhance Biotech, Inc. (OTCBB: EBOI); Auto Data Network, Inc. (OTCBB: ADNW); Advanced Nanotech, Inc. (OTCBB: AVNA); Advanced Media Training, Inc. (OTBB: AMTN); Evolve Oncology, Inc. (OTCBB:EVON); and, Innovate Oncology, Inc. (OTCBB: IOVO).  Other clients include: Clougherty Packing Company (aka Farmer John); Spiegelman Entertainment Group, Inc.; NB Digitial, Inc., Snowplay, LLC, Big Bear Recreation, Inc. and a variety of other corporate and individual clients.

Mr. Albright’s litigation experience includes a successful jury trial of Phillips v. Gemini in Los Angeles Superior Court in which Mr. Albright represented Gemini Movers.  Prior to trial, the case had been dismissed and then appealed by the plaintiff, Mr. Phillips.  Mr. Phillips received a favorable appellate ruling which is reported at 63 Cal.App4th 563 (1998).  That ruling continues to stand as a significant employment case.  However, Mr. Albright obtained a unanimous jury verdict for Gemini despite the prior appellate ruling in favor of Mr. Phillips by the appellate court.  Mr. Albright’s business and corporate experience resulted in two (2) more verdicts in Los Angeles Superior Court and several successful motions for summary judgment.  Mr. Albright’s litigation experience has been a valuable asset in providing legal advice to clients.

Mr. Albright received his undergraduate degree Business Administration from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV and his JD from Whittier College School of Law, Los Angeles, California.  Mr. Albright was a member of the Whittier Law Review, the Moot Court Executive Committee and Justice of the Albert Lee Stephens Chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
